These Community Guidelines exist to protect that feeling and the people behind it.By using Swella, you agree to follow these guidelines. If you don’t, we may take action to keep the community safe and supportive.1. Be respectful and supportiveSwella is a judgment-free space.You agree to:- treat other members with kindness and respect- support different surf levels, backgrounds, and experiences- communicate honestly and thoughtfully- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, shaming, intimidation, or dismissive behavior of any kind is not tolerated.2. This space is for women surfersSwella is designed for women who surf.You agree to:- represent yourself truthfully- not impersonate another person- not create accounts that misrepresent your identityAccounts found to be misleading, deceptive, or created in bad faith may be suspended or removed.3. Safety comes firstSurfing and travel involve real-world risks.By using Swella, you understand that:- Swella does not supervise, organize, or monitor in-person meetups- you are responsible for your own safety when meeting others- you should always trust your instincts and make informed decisionsWe strongly encourage meeting in public places first, communicating boundaries clearly, and never feeling pressured to surf or spend time together.4. No harmful or inappropriate contentThe following is not allowed on Swella:- sexual, explicit, or pornographic content- violent, threatening, or abusive language- discrimination or hate based on race, religion, nationality, body type, sexuality, or ability-promotion of illegal or dangerous activitiesContent that violates these rules may be removed without notice.5. No spam or self-promotion without consentSwella is about connection, not solicitation.You may not:- send spam or repetitive messages- promote unrelated products or services- pressure users into bookings, payments, or collaborationsPartners, experiences, or sponsored content featured on Swella are clearly marked.6. Respect privacy and boundariesYou agree to:- not share private conversations outside the app without consent- not collect, screenshot, or misuse other users’ personal information- respect communication preferences and boundariesPrivacy violations are taken seriously and may result in account removal.7. Reporting and moderationIf something doesn’t feel right, you can report it.You can report:- inappropriate messages or behavior- fake or misleading profiles- content that violates these guidelinesSwella reviews reports and may issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently remove users when necessary to protect the community.8. Consequences of violationsIf these guidelines are violated, Swella may:- remove content- temporarily suspend accounts- permanently ban users from the platformSerious or repeated violations may result in immediate removal without prior warning.9. Help us protect the lineupSwella works because the community looks out for each other.If you see something that goes against these guidelines, please report it so we can help keep the community safe.
